Welcome to the Kattus-McNeill-Simmons Family History! The purpose of this site is to document and remember our ancestors. Here, you will find images, documents and written accounts and stories of the people who came before us.
Our ancestors were patriots in support of independence, pioneers in the wilderness of Clermont County, Ohio and immigrants in newly industrialized Cincinnati. They were devout Catholics and Methodists, farmers, educators, business people and homemakers.
How To Use and View This Site:
I suggest starting with a family tree in the side menu/hamburger menu at the top of this screen. By scrolling to the bottom of a tree, you will likely see yourself or someone you know. From there, scan upwards in the tree to find parents, grandparents, etc. In the menu, you will also find direct links to direct ancestor's pages. This site is best viewed on a laptop/desktop screen or tablet device turned sideways. Family tree formatting will not be optimal if viewing on a smart phone device.
